Rack Ends & Channels

Rack End Protectors

Increasing warehouse safety and helping to reduce the risk of redundant pallet locations make Colby Rack End Protection very popular, especially as a retro-fit protection device. Colby Rack End Protectors are typically affixed aside exposed pallet racking end frames. The heavy-duty powder-coated steel protectors are chemically set into the concrete slab and extend vertically to shield the racking footplates and base of the racking uprights.

Vulnerable rack-end frames left unprotected are a threat to any warehouse’s storage capacity.

Their installed height is engineered in profile to offer maximum protection down low (where it’s most needed) whilst eliminating the leverage risk (when a forklift connects with the top of a protection device) inherent in higher profile, generic bollard rack-end protection.

Floor Channels

Used primarily in Drive-In Racking applications, Colby “Lead-in” nose and heavy-duty floor channels help to guide the forklift, ensuring quick and easy alignment with the pallet. Colby floor channels promote safer handling of delicate stock and protection of the rack in operation.

The floor guides can be mounted in various ways to best suit your application.

Heavy-Duty or UU Beam

  • Fabricated from two U profiles, stitch welded along the seam
  • Stiffens the front face so that it does not suffer from local buckling and is instead able to realise the full yield capacity of the material
  • Exceptional resistance to horizontal impact loads
  • Manufactured from 2.0mm high tensile steel

Heavy Duty Beam Safety Clip

The new heavy duty beam safety clip is designed specifically to compliment the heavy duty beam, providing better protection against dislodgment from the typical angles of impact which the heavy duty beam is likely to receive.
